Hardee’s this week added a new Ribeye Steak, Egg & Cheese Biscuit to its morning menu. The item combines thinly sliced rib-eye steak, a folded egg and Swiss cheese on one of the chain’s signature Made from Scratch buttermilk biscuits. It’s $2.99 alone or $4.69 in a combo with Hash Rounds and beverage.
Sister chain Carl’s Jr. doesn’t get steak yet. Instead, it has added a Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit.
Steak also is on the morning menu at McDonald’s in Canada, where an upgraded version of a U.S. breakfast item was introduced this week. The Steak ’n Egg Bagel sandwich is a regular or multigrain bagel toped with steak, sautéed onions, cheese, a folded egg and that British import, HP sauce.
